Programme:

United Juniors, Jason Blunt, Wes Boyle, Tony Hackworth, Robert Bowman, Stephen McPhail, Mark Jackson and Martin Foster were all given a run and John Lukic played the first half for Arsenal before playing the second half for Leeds. David Platt was making a come-back from injury for the Gunners but he missed an easy chance when he was high and wide from ten yards. Leeds lost Carlton Palmer when he was substituted as a precautionary measureafter a tacle in the twelfth minute. Glenn Helder had already opened the scoring after ten minutes for Arsenal, with a low shot, after Richard Jobson had headed out a cross from Stephen Hughes and a young Harry Kewell scored an equalizer ten minutes later with a fine rising shot that left John Lukic helpless. One of the Arsenal youngsters, Ross Taylor, got the winner with twelve minutes to go, when he was given an easy chance after Lukic had an angled shot from Glenn Helder into his path. Lee Harper took over in goal for Arsenal in the second half and Gavin McGowan came on at Right Back for Viv Anderson. Adrian Clarke replaced Chris Kiwomya at Centre Forward and Paul Shaw replaced David Platt at Inside Left. Stephen Lodge of Barnsley was the Referee.
